Castrol Spheerol EPLX 200-2

SpheerolTM EPLX 200-2 is a versatile high performance grease formulated with a mineral oil and lithium soap base. This product is specially formulated to provide excellent high temperature lubrication properties. The product has extreme pressure properties and contains additives to enhance oxidation, rust and wear resistance.

Spheerol EPLX 200-2 grease is specially formulated for use in grease-lubricated plain or roller bearings for an operating temperature range of -20°C to 150°C.

It has a maximum operating temperature of 180°C and can be used for short periods of time on bearings operating at this temperature. In this case, the frequency of greasing should be increased; operators should contact the equipment manufacturer for guidance.

Application examples include all types of general industrial machinery, electric motors and machine tools, as well as applications with high operating ambient temperatures, such as bearings for paper machines or ventilation machines and oven fans. Spheerol EPLX 200-2 grease is also suitable for the lubrication of bearings under high load and vibration conditions, such as steel mills, railway axle boxes and construction equipment applications. Spheerol EPLX 200-2 series greases have long service life at temperatures above 100°C and are ideal for machines where frequent regreasing is difficult
